Breakfast and lunch, every school day.

Discovery Montessori Academy participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Free breakfast for every student who arrives early, and free or reduced-price lunch for eligible families.

Cost

Per the school's public release, meals are served at no cost regardless of eligibility determination. Families are still asked to complete the application each year; it supports the program's funding.

Eligibility

Household size and income determine eligibility. Households on SNAP or TANF list only the child's name, case number and an adult signature. Foster children qualify automatically.

How to apply.

One application per household, any time during the school year. Once approved, benefits last the whole year.

Download the application, or pick one up at the front office.
List every household member, gross income and how often it is received, and sign. The adult who signs gives a Social Security number or writes NONE.
Return it to the office. The school may verify the information during the year.
If your income drops or your household grows, tell the office; you may become eligible. To appeal a decision, ask for Mrs. Rachele Lezama.
