The best way to understand Montessori is to stand in a classroom at 9 AM. Tours run every weekday morning and take about 45 minutes.

How it works

Three steps, no paperwork until you're sure.

1 · Visit

Schedule a tour for any weekday at 9 AM. You'll see the classroom your child would join, meet the guide, and get every question answered.

2 · Apply

Complete the application the office gives you at your visit. VPK children must be four by September 1 and toilet trained; kindergarten children must be five by September 1.

3 · Enroll

Sign the enrollment documents and pay the annual registration and materials fee. Your child is admitted for the full ten-month school year.

These are the most recent published rates (2024–2025 schedule). Current-year rates and payment plans are confirmed at your tour. Tuition is paid in ten monthly installments, August through May.

VPK

The VPK morning is covered by Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten voucher for children who turn four by September 1. The office helps you enroll.

Scholarships

Step Up For Students, AAA Scholarship Foundation and McKay scholarships are accepted for kindergarten through 12th grade. Bring your award letter to the office.

Siblings

30% off tuition for each additional child from the same family. The sibling discount does not apply to students attending on a Step Up or McKay scholarship.

Paid in full

5% off when the year's tuition is paid at once.

Meals

Free breakfast for every student who arrives early. DMA participates in the National School Lunch Program; free and reduced-price lunch is available to eligible families.

What ages and grades does DMA serve?
VPK (age 4) through 12th grade, across Primary, Elementary and Preparatory. Children entering VPK must be four by September 1 and fully toilet trained; children entering kindergarten must be five by September 1.
What are school hours?
Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Fridays 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. VPK runs 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM every day. Doors open early, and any student who arrives early receives a free breakfast.
What are office hours?
Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Call or text (305) 247-4777.
Is there aftercare?
Yes, Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 5:30 PM, with a snack each day. Please pick up by 5:00 PM, 5:30 at the latest. Registration is $60 per child; the form is on the Families page or at the front desk.
Do you accept scholarships or VPK?
Yes. We accept Florida's VPK voucher for four-year-olds, Step Up For Students scholarships, AAA Scholarship Foundation awards, and the McKay scholarship. The office helps with the paperwork. Note that the sibling discount does not apply to students attending on a scholarship.
Is there a uniform?
Yes. A grey or white DMA collared shirt for all students. Khaki or navy bottoms; skirts for girls in 3rd grade and under, shorts or pants for everyone.
Do you provide meals?
Students who arrive early get a free breakfast. DMA participates in the National School Lunch Program, so free and reduced-price lunch is available to eligible families. Families are also welcome to send lunch and snacks from home.
What happens after I ask for a tour?
A member of the office calls within one business day to confirm your morning. Tours start at 9 AM, take about 45 minutes, and include time in the classroom with the children at work.
Can my child start after the first day of school?
Often, yes, if there is a place in the right classroom. Call the office; enrollment is for the full school year once documents are signed.
